I was responsible for Lighting and integrating The Sanctum building into New York plates in Marvel's Doctor Strange under the supervision of Adam Watkins and Martijn at ILM. It was really fun working on these key iconic shots for one of my favorite Marvel superhero movies. I got a super amazing looking 3d asset form the DMS department at ILM and I had to modify the model and create some shaders and minor design tweaks specially for the windows. I also had to do some matte painting work in order to integrate the sanctum with the neighboring buildings.
I also added those dried leaves and some floor tiles to integrate the sanctum on the street to get realism. The super awesome tree model you see in the close up shots was also done by the amazing DMS team a big shout out to them for their amazing work.
